About UD BIM

Working as an Extension of Your Team

UD BIM Consultancy is a London-based BIM and digital engineering consultancy. Since 2019 we have helped contractors, developers and design teams deliver projects to ISO 19650 — covering BIM management, information management, modelling and coordination, Scan-to-BIM, and training.

We work as an extension of our clients' teams. On a live project that means running the BIM function: coordination, clash detection, model-health checks and a well-managed common data environment. On the design and production side it means coordinated models and drawings across structural, architectural and MEP. And where buildings already exist, our Scan-to-BIM service captures them accurately for refurbishment and verification.

Based in London with a delivery network spanning Istanbul, Cairo and Ahmedabad, we work across the UK and internationally — and deliver training and consultancy in six languages.

UD BIM is led by its founder and director, Ugur Duru — the senior point of contact and accountability on every project. Rather than carry the overhead of a large in-house team, we deliver through a vetted network of BIM specialists across London, Istanbul, Cairo and Ahmedabad — scaling the right team to each project's size and scope. This gives clients direct access to senior BIM expertise, a single line of accountability, and the flexibility to engage us for exactly the scope they need.

Key Personnel

Ugur Duru

Founder & Director

Ugur founded UD BIM Consultancy in 2019. A civil and structural engineer by training, with around ten years' experience across civil/structural and BIM engineering, he leads the company's delivery and works as an embedded BIM lead for contractors and design teams in the UK.

His work covers BIM management, ISO 19650 information management and CDE setup, MEP/structural/architectural modelling and coordination, Scan-to-BIM, modular (DfMA) modelling, and Autodesk software training.

On major UK sites he has led the adoption of new construction technology — reality capture with BIM (Station Hill, Sackville Road) and construction robotics (Brent Cross). His earlier career spans landmark aviation, infrastructure and high-rise projects internationally, including Kuwait International Airport, Bahrain International Airport, Abu Dhabi Airport, the Yusufeli Dam, the Blankenburg Connection in the Netherlands, and the Poynton Relief Road.
